Lapbook I have to warn everyone. One of the “minibooks” has your children creating bill boards–to go with “Honesty in Advertising.” The reason I am warning ahead of time is that I suggested that they go online for ideas. PLEASE supervise your children on the net. I have warned your children in the lapbook to always have supervison but it is ultimately up to you. There is just too much “stuff’ available on the net to let them runamuck without someone to protect them. The wrap up takes the kids into a thesaurus. They will use it to find the synonyms and antonyms for the word HONESTY. They will then decide if the word tends to lead to sincere honesty or insincere honesty. Project Pack Project 1 is making a movie or power point using quotes on honesty. They have the option of choosing the aspect of honesty they wish to focus on. Such as why to be honest or even the consequences a certain lack of honesty may bring their way. They are to use quotes, clip-art, and music. The reason this project was chosen is that they have to follow copyright laws. Which is really easy to abuse. And therefore is the real act of honesty this project is trying to teach. Project 2 is further research into our heroes. They are to look up more information on their heroes and see if their honesty stands up to your childs image of them. And if they remain a hero to your child after all this research. This is the last project on our heroes. I hope their heroes have lived up to their original view of them and that they are good choices. If they haven’t hopefully they will now know how to pick a good hero. |
