Homemaking
College of Homemaking.
The College of homemaking is a personal study to learn the different aspects of homemaking. It breaks down the learning into 3 degrees: Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate. You can easily do this in a co-op, group, church, etc. It is funner when you have at least one friend with you to compare notes. Doctorate's Degree Still Coming! *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** “Flylady” Day Planner This is a planner that is based on the FLYLADY program on www.flylady.net. This is a planner I created to go with her program but it is easily adjusted to your needs. It is made ready for you to add your own lists and tasks. This is designed to fit in a average size day planner OR (my preference) one of the mini-notbooks (3-ring binders). Divider Pages Divider Pages created for the Mini-notebook. I have page protectors that are designed for this size notebook (I think I bought them at either Office Depot or a craft store–Sorry I can’t remember). I am just printing them on Cardstock, cutting them in 1/2 and then sliding them into the page protectors. You could easily add tabs to the pages however if that is your choice. These are “FlyLady” inspired. 1 Week Menu Planner Page This page is prepared for 1 week to plan your dinner menu. It is the same size as the “Flylady” planner above. It has a shopping list on the other side to make it easy. The Planner above has a full shopping list included in it that has check boxes for various items. This list has blank lines that you just write in the needed items to round out your cupboards for specific items to fix your meals. It fits in the day planner size notebook folded in 1/2. Planner Checklist This is an odd checklist. It has items that I want to accomplish at the bare minimum each day. I like checking things off. So I created this so that I can mark it as I go. One side has the check list the other side has a notes section so that I can write things down as I go. My memory is becoming increasingly worse. So this helps me to write things down and remind myself at the end of the day so I can make notes for the future. It fits in the day planner size notebook folded in 1/2. Bills To be Paid page This is just a simple “fill in the blank” worksheet for marking which bills get paid out of which pay check. I do not have the date the paycheck arrives. My husbands paychecks are every 2 weeks so I just go 1st and 2nd rather than give dates. It fits in the day planner size notebook Folded in 1/2 or you can use in a regular binder. Weekly Time Chart Page This is a simple chart that has times (listed from 8 am to 7:30 pm) at 30 min increments. Each chart is an entire week. It fits in the day planner size notebook folded in 1/2. Pocket Routine Cards I created routine cards that I laminated and keep in my back pocket so that I have my daily routine with me at all times. I am very forgetful and if I have them with me, I don’t have to run back to my planner to see what is next every 2 mins. It’s pretty basic. Sorry my file is missing, but I'm leaving the idea up in case any one needs it. *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** Chore Cards These cards are used on peg boards. (you can also use them any other way you see fit). This is based on the Accountable kids Program. This program can be found here: http://www.accountablekids.com/ I found their program to be very expensive to put into action and so I created my own cards and boards. The boards I used were over sized picture frames that I was able to add some cheap wooden pegs to. I had my kids paint their own boards. We then laminated the cards and hole punched them. I highly suggest checking out Accountable kids’ book at your local library or purchasing your own copy, like I did, to understand the program. |
