“K” Art Class Kindergarten Art ClassMy plan is basically 3 projects planned for each day–the
first is the lesson which I would teach. some are worksheets or concepts
that we would demonstrate and then have the kids try out. The next is
an activity to either work more with the concept or add to it–like in
week one we go from diagonal and horizontal to curving and angles. The
third project is the actual project for the day. It’s to cement the
concepts. The last project on week 8 is out of plaster of paris-to keep
it soft, you make it an hour ahead of class.

Week 1~Topic: LINE
Lesson: worksheet on diagonal, horizontal, and vertical lines
Activity–curves and angles
Project: Line Variety Painting
Items needed:

Week 2~Topic: shape
Lesson: Shape design using various shapes Discuss names etc.
Activity–what is it? Using a shape to create an object–such as cicle becomes wheel on a car.
Project: Shape puppet

Week3~Topic: color
Lesson: Secondary colors–mixing food colored water to create secondary colors
Activity: Rainbow of colors
Project: Layered tissue paper leaves
