Life throws you curve balls all the time. One day I woke up and knew I had to homeschool my kids. Over a decade later, I have sent 2 kids off to college, I have 1 getting ready to attend "PUBLIC" high school, and 1 middle schooler taking online classes. Life is funny that way, it just marches on.
So my recent undertaking has been a bit of a surprise even to me. I enrolled in college to obtain my degree so I can move from the homeschooling realm into public teaching. This last fall I began taking classes. I've been swamped with assignments and I haven't had the time to do much more than read about Rhetoric or write papers on Historical Perspective.
This semester has me taking a class that is devoted to bringing technology into the classroom. Thankfully, I'm up enough on technology that it hasn't hit me as from another planet, yet. This week looks like it's edging out of my familiar atmosphere, however. We've been talking about creating a Professional Learning Network (aka Personal Learning Network).
A PLN is a network that you create to engage with other professionals so that you can learn and grow within your field. So, really, I've had one all along, with you! My tasks this week was to connect onto the various social medias in order to widen my network.
I was given the challenge of building up my own PLN. You can join in all the fun by taking the Teacher Challenge, too. So where can you find me?

Some of these media sites are pretty new to me, so my content is almost non existent.Given a bit more time, I'll catch on! This blog is going to be doing some shifting as well. I still have a ton of curriculum to add from the last few years of being the Director and teaching at TEACH Cooperative. That will be added, and then...I'm not sure yet where I'll be heading. But, I'll be watching for those curve balls!
